LED fluorescent UV black light tube bulb

To sterilize using UVC light, we utilize a lamp designed specifically for that task. In order to produce ultraviolet light, a UVC lamp uses a gas that is contained in a tube. The lamp has a cathode on one end and an electrode on the other. To turn on the lamp, a spark must be created between the electrode and cathode, which warms the gas.

To manufacture UVC light, we must also manipulate heat. A UVC lamp will turn on if plugged directly into an electrical outlet, but it will not produce UV light because its internal temperature will rise too high. That's why each of our UVC lights also has a ballast/power supply to regulate its operation. When we plug in our ballast, the bulb illuminates just like we planned. As a first step in designing a bulb's function, we consider the bulb's kind and the setting in which it will be utilized.
